Great article. Really worth a read. I respectfully disagree with the writer of the article, saying that Avengers could beat TDKR at the box office. The fact the Nolan has a big fan base & his Batman films fan base is massive, the fact that this is the sequel to the most successful comic book movie of all time,The Dark Knight, & that this Nolan’s epic finale to his Batman trilogy are all signs that this film will top the box office next year.

Let me put it this way, kinda how a comment by user “NOLANITE” put it:

Avengers:Cool, easy to follow plot, made for the fans, major cast, success of previous Marvel Studios films, which all adds up to the what the majority of audiences for the film will be: fanboys & even fangirls.

The Dark Knight Rises:Great complex story, finale, major cast, previous success of Batman Begins & The Dark Knight, which all ads up to what the majority of audiences for the film will be: much, much larger audience that goes beyond just fanboys.

I do think Avengers WILL be the biggest Marvel film yet.
