PWG All Star Weekend Night 1 Preview - Kevin Steen vs Paul London

Top 10 matches from 2012:

1-Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Minoru Suzuki from NJPW King Of Pro Wrestling 2012.

The best match from last year and not only one of the best matches of the last 10 years, but of all time. If you’re looking for the definition of a perfect wrestling match, this is what you would turn to. Both guys never stopped selling once. The wrestling was just incredible. The last 10 minutes will captivate you. And what makes this match even more special is that it only had one pinfall attempt and that was for the finish.

Seriously, words don’t do this match justice. If you even remotely consider yourself a fan of pro wrestling, you must see this match.

Top 10 matches from 2012:

2-The Undertaker vs Triple H in a Hell In A Cell match from Wrestlemania 28.

A truly unforgettable match and the best match from Wrestlemania 28 and really brought back life into that show after that rough start. Taker and HHH really went out there and went all out. Some of the best drama you’ll ever see in a wrestling match, it really did feel like “the end of an era”.

Shawn Michaels even played his role very nice. Just seeing the two guys he has so much respect and admiration for just beating the hell out of each other and HHH telling him to end it or he’ll keep beating up Taker was some really great storytelling. Definitely in my top three favorite Hell In A Cell matches of all time, for sure.

Top 10 matches from 2012:

3-Davey Richards vs Michael Elgin for the ROH World Championship from ROH Showdown In The Sun Day 2.

Well, where do I start with this match? Watching a few times over, it still is the best match in ROH since Bryan Danielson vs Kenta at Glory By Honor V: Night 2, but only slightly above Davey Richards vs Tyler Black from Death Before Dishonor VIII and Kevin Steen vs El Generico from Final Battle 2010. Still, this is an absolute kickass wrestling match and a classic ROH match in terms of elevating a new star in Michael Elgin.

The storytelling was great and the wrestling was off-the-charts. Both guys were put over huge and it really surprised the hell out of everybody. No one, not even ROH themselves knew how great this match was going to turn out. And Nigel on commentary was just amazing. Definition of an awesome ***** match.
